Norfolk State University (NSU) provided ample opportunities to mentor young students within the Center for Materials Research. In conjunction with Old Dominion University, Dr. Lee served on the Career Pathways Steering Committee which was dedicated to helping graduate students develop and refine their research skills. Also, Dr. Lee gave two talks to the students under NSU’s National Science Foundation CREST-CREAM grant with covered presentation skills and resume writing. In the end, he gifted all participants with laser pointers/presenters to use for their talks in the future. Lastly, he served as a research mentor for these students along with other graduate students.
